Robert Sewell

Robert Sewell is a Staff Academic Scientist and the Coordinator of Academic Programs at the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) in Barcelona. He received his Ph.D. in 2009 from Imperial College London under the supervision of Professor Ed Hinds, and held a postdoctoral position at ICFO in the group of Professor Morgan Mitchell. His research interests focus on experimental quantum optics and quantum metrology with cold atoms, and recently include the generation of macroscopic spin singlets and the tracking of quantum spin systems.
