Stephen Hughes

Stephen Hughes is a Professor in the Department of Physics, Engineering Physics and Astronomy, at Queen’s University, Canada. He obtained his a Ph.D. from Heriot-Watt University. He has a research focus on the theory and application of light-matter interactions in photonic nanostructures and quantum optics, and has held visiting positions at NTT Basic Research Laboratories, University of Science and Technology China (USTC), and the University of Auckland. He is a co-founder of the Canadian optical software company, Lumerical Solutions Inc.
