Steve Granick has been on the faculty of the University of Illinois since 1985, and he is currently Founder Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, as well as Professor of Chemistry, Physics, and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Honors include the Paris-Sciences Medal, Chair of the APS Polymer Physics Division, member of the editorial board of various journals, and Guest Professor at Peking University, at Zhejiang University, and at the University of Science and Technology of China. His research interests are in soft materials and biophysics.
