Yun Jing received a B.S. in acoustics from Nanjing University, China, in 2006 and received an M.S. and later a Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, in 2007 and 2009, respectively. He is currently an associate professor in the Graduate Program in Acoustics at Pennsylvania State University. His research interests include physical acoustics and biomedical ultrasound. He is a fellow of the Acoustical Society of America and a senior member of IEEE. He has received numerous awards such as the 2018 R. Bruce Lindsay Award from the Acoustical Society of America, the 2018 IEEE Ultrasonics Early Career Investigator Award, the 2018 MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 China Award, and the IEEE UFFC Star Ambassador Lectureship Award.
