Yuval Garini is a Professor of Physics and a member of the Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. He is currently the acting head of the Institute. His research interests cover various topics in biophysics, including the mechanisms by which DNA molecules in a cell’s nuclei organize and the nature of DNA-protein interactions. He uses advanced optical and single-molecule methods to study processes in biological systems experimentally and uses statistical and soft-matter theories to study these processes theoretically.
