Neal Dalal is an Assistant Professor of Astronomy and Physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After receiving his Ph.D. at the University of California, San Diego, he held fellowships at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics in Toronto. His work focuses on the uses of astronomy for probing the fundamental physics of the early Universe.
